Mirage Workshop at the Politecnico of Milan: new applications for porcelain stoneware tile coverings

In collaboration with the Politecnico of Milan, Mirage has organised a workshop dedicated to the design of floors and walls in porcelain stoneware.

Designing new sales scenarios for ceramic tiles is the title of the workshop that encourages students to examine the issues of interior design and the evolution of architectural forms, with particular reference to homes.
The project invites students from the Polytechnic Institute to participate in experimental laboratories, with a structure similar to a “trend research office” that focuses on perception, materials, colours, surfaces, aesthetics and cultural references.

The project provides students with the chance to better understand the special technical and aesthetic nature of porcelain stoneware applied to interior design: an analysis of projects, spaces and services, for a material that is increasingly in demand and integrated in the design of spaces.
