The first edition of Restile has come to a close: a tremendous success.

Restile, the contest launched in December in order to stimulate the generation of ideas and create a new collection of porcelain stoneware tiles, came to a close last week. The outcome: many projects and ideas and, above all, tremendous success in terms of participation. More than 200 projects from all over the world, more than 50,000 hits on the website and a total of 100,000 interactions.

When coming up with the idea of Restile, we at Mirage did not want to replace the traditional creative channels we still continue to use a lot, but we wanted to generate innovative ideas thanks to a new and modern channel: crowd-sourcing. On the one hand, today’s companies need to think laterally while, on the other, it is important for the young creative minds to take on new challenges with new and qualifying projects.

This is what Restile was, not only a contest but a network! At the centre of this net, a company that is sensitive towards new energy and not cloistered in the self-assumption of being the only people to know the taste and needs of end-users; the company is surrounded by an active and growing community of qualified and fascinating professionals. In essence, this was the biggest goal the contest was successful in.
